News has broken that original stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are returning to their iconic characters in the next chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The project is now in the works.

The duo are slated to play Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the roles they originated. Industry whispers indicate their appearance will probably be featured in a brief glimpse ahead, considering the main film series concluded with their characters living in peace.
