Approximately 90 Flights Connected to Epstein Reportedly Arrived at or Departed from British Airports
A review has found that approximately 90 flights connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly landed at and took off from British airports, with some reportedly transporting women from the UK who allege they were exploited by the found guilty child sex offender.
Aviation Records Reveal Pattern of Movement
The flight logs were among thousands of court documents and files released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the last year. The review uncovered 87 flights tied to Epstein ā including many that were previously unknown ā arriving or departing from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and Post-Conviction Flights
Unnamed women were recorded among the passengers flying to and from the UK. Notably, 15 of these British airport journeys took place subsequent to Epsteinās 2008 guilty verdict for soliciting sex from a minor.
āIt was āastonishingā that there had never been a āthorough probe in the UKā into his activities in the country,ā remarked US lawyers acting for hundreds of Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
Evidence from one of the British victims aided the conviction of Epsteinās associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. However, that individual has never been contacted by UK authorities, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the the Met indicated they had ānot received any further evidence that would support restarting the probe.ā They noted, āShould new and relevant information be presented to us, encompassing any arising from the disclosure of material in the US, we will evaluate it.ā
Continuing Document Release and Legal Rulings
A bill to disclose all files held by the US government in relation to Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to follow through. Hundreds of thousands of papers are anticipated to be made public.
Additionally, a US judge ordered last week that the DOJ could disclose investigative materials from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epsteinās close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the charges.
