Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A plane carrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the jet's front window, per an announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative commented in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This event is not the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to head back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
